Rent A Local tours are private and customized based on your interests. You tell us what you are interested in and our guide will plan your day taking in what you want to see and do while stopping at a few places off the beaten path that locals know about. There is no set itinerary on any of our tours, we go where you want, stop when you want and stay longer at places if you want while accompanied by your local guide who will make recommendations based on your interest and current conditions. There is no wasting your valuable vacation time at tourist traps or places you do not want to visit. Our tours feel like you are experiencing Hawaii with a friend who lives here, we will connect you to the Hawaii you want to experience.

• Group size is 1 – 6 per guide. Depending on how many fit in your rental car comfortably.
• You supply the rental car, we supply the local guide.
• We recommend you do our tours on one of your first days here. You will learn invaluable information for the rest of your stay.

How It Works

• Call us or fill out our tour interest form. The more we know about you, the better.
• Rent A Local creates an itinerary based on your interests. No wasting your valuable vacation time at unwanted stops.
• Our tours feel like you are hanging out with a friend.
• You supply the rental car, we supply the guide. We can also arrange a rental car for you.
• You will be contacted by your guide the day before your booking to review your plan, make changes if needed and to set up a meeting time and location. We will usually meet you either at your hotel or at the rental car location.

Pricing

Pricing is $50 per hour for groups of 1 to 6 people with a 4 hour minimum. A $50 deposit is required at time of booking and payment is to be made in full 48 hours prior to your tour. Prices do not include tip, entrance fees or meals.

Cancellation Policy

We hate having to establish a cancellation policy but in order to be fair to our guides we must. We are very understanding and will do everything we can to avoid fees for you. See below and of course contact us if you have any questions.
